Huggable Heroes

Hey everyone, I have a question about Huggable Heros and I decided here was the best place to ask it.

On the BABVBlog Weblog, I was told that Huggable Heros are special guests as well. Someone said something about a lot of Bearemy Hats? Well, I saw one the other day, TaraHuggableHero, and I friended her. We traded (I gave her some clothes for an inflatable animal and bear bills.) I didn't see anything special about her, except for her Huggable Hero shirt. What exactly does it mean to be a Huggable Hero? Are they BABW workers?

From Buildabear.com:

What is a Huggable Hero? A Huggable Hero is a young person 18 years of age or under doing pawsome stuff to make a difference in their neighborhood, school or community. These beary special people are an inspiration to us and all those around them.

Each year Build-A-Bear Workshop® has honored young people chosen from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom for their outstanding community service.

In 2008 we will also honor great kids doing things in Puerto Rico, France and Ireland.

Would i become hero if...

If I sold lemonade and donated some to a hospital or some other good cause. My sister, neighbors, and I did a lemonade stand today and we all got 6 dollars each after the money was split. If we all use our money together towards a good cause do you think we might be able to become some?

I hope you can become a huggale hero, but i have a tip for you.
Make lemonade stands in different parts of the city near to the house of a family person, you could make a lemonade stand infront of your aunt's house, infront of your granny's house, etc.
This would help you to earn more money to donate it, because you have more places to sell.
Hope you understand this. ;)

Though that is a sweet sentiment, and I really hope that you do that. Think of how you could help others. However, I think it is much more than that to be a hugable hero. Number one these kids aren't out there to become one. Build a Bear chose to honor them because their stories were out there and big as life. For example, if you look at Freya's post about one of the newest hero's she is on a campaign to make people aware about the things kids in foster care go through. It's not just doing something incredibly nice, but really changing something to help others.
