by Faith
Many people are still having trouble making or uploading signatures. I've worked on this a while and think that I finally have some steps that might help everyone.

****IMG codes can be obtained from uploading a picture to a program such as Photobucket or Imageshack****
****Using the upload button doesn't always work. I've copied and pasted my IMG codes several time and the codes in other people's signatures just to check several times now and that has always worked.****

Paint Guide
by MiraMusicMaker

Hi! I have been using paint for years, and am here to give you a little tutorial. Paint is a simple program, but there are some things that are very useful to learn but can be hard to find at first.

The Free-Form Crop Option: Let's start with the first thing you see when you open paint, which is the free-form star (Blob in Vista). This feature crops, but you can chose exactly where it crops, hence it being called the free-form option. Be careful not to cut off parts of your picture, though!

The Original Crop Option: This feature is located beside the free-form crop option, which is a star (Blob in Vista). This just crops in a normal way, either in a rectangle or square. It picks up some of the surrounding area. Do you see a little picture of a square below? That is the 'Draw Opaque' option. If you click on the first picture, you will see that if you copy a picture with white as it's background, the white will show up if you try and move it on a different picture. If you click the second picture, you will notice that if you copy a picture with white as it's background, it will not show up if you move it on a different picture.

Eraser Option: This is a simple option, used like a real life eraser. You can change the color of the eraser, by right clicking on a different color on the color palate. You can also make the eraser smaller or bigger, by looking under. You will see a scale of squares. Click on one to change the size.

Paint Bucket Option: You can use the paint bucket option, which is right beside the eraser option, to change the color of anything. It can change the background of your paint page, lines, curves, or pixels.

Pencil Option: Use this to draw with the effect of a real pencil! You can change the color of it by clicking on the color palate. You can shade, and zoom in the make a more realistic picture. You can draw on anything, and even write. Make sure to understand that the pencil comes only in one width.

Spray Paint Option: Use this to make a spray paint like effect! you can change the flow of the effect by looking below. Change the color as well, by clicking on the color palate.

Text Option: You can write with text on paint. Open the text, and right click. Then click on text toolbar. There you can find different fonts and options.

Line: You can make a straight line in Paint. Click on the horizontal line symbol first. Then, drag your mouse and make a line in any size, and make it point in different directions.

Curve: You can make a curve along with the normal straight line. Click on the curved line symbol beside the straight line symbol. Drag your mouse and make a line curved any way you like.

Square: You can make a rectangle or square in paint by clicking on the square symbol. Change the color by chosing a different one on the color palate.

Polygon: You can create a series of lines that will become a polygon. You can undo them all with one try.

Circle: Draw a simple circle in paint by dragging your mouse after clicking the circlular symbol.

**For Vista users the Free-form is a blob. It is random shaped, and has a dotted line border.**

If you have any questions, feel free to post!
