How to make a checkered background on gimp with pictures!
1. Open up gimp. Click file, and new. A good size for the width and height would be 250. Then press ok.
2. Click the bucket fill tool. Then click the color square and choose a color, then press ok. Click your sheet of paper.
3. Click the paint brush tool and choose the brush called Pencil Sketch # 2.
4. Check the box that says use color from gradient. Under that check mark there should be a little gradient box. Click the box and choose your gradient. (I chose rainbow)
5. Then click and move your mouse back and forth on the sheet of paper. Basically, you just need to color over your background, but it would be the best if you don’t completely cover up the back ground.
6. After you are finished, this is what your final result should look like:
