A scam is when someone someone how taken something from you without your consent, or knowing. In this case people can make things invisible while you trade, or ask to "borrow" a rare item. (:

Exactly!
Even if they are mean to us we still can't be mean to them.

There are several examples
1) a person asks you to send them an item to "try" on and promises to give it back when they are done

2) a person tells you they will send you a code in exchange for an item you trade or bearmail to them now. (note you cannot bearmail a code. It won't let you)

3) a person asks for a rare item (or PSI) in exchange for an item they say is rare, but is just an ordinary item. (it is a current pawlette item or current fountain item) Note I said they TELL you it is rare, but it is not.

These are just a few examples.

A scammer is someone who tries to scam you. Here are some examples of scamming:

"Can I just try on that item? I'll give it right back, promise" (chances are they won't!)

"I'll give you a bear code for that item" (never believe this, you can't BearMail or even type numbers/codes on BABV!)

"I'll send you a party invite for that item" (you never know if that person actually has an invite to send or not, don't accept or believe them)

Those are just a few examples of the many scams people might pull.

These are also good examples of scams, too.

Thank you! Now we all know exactly how to handle the situation of a scammer without making oodles of threads about it.
